Siftex ClearFlex

ClearFlex is the original clear, FDA-acceptable and static-dissipating polyurethane connector material, preferred in applications worldwide for its strength, static-dissipation, flexibility and durability. See-through for better process control and safety. With Clear-Flex tubing it is easy to make custom-length, see-through connecting sleeves.

  • Material Composition: Thermoplastic polyurethane (polyether-based).
  • Available Thicknesses: 0.020″ (20 mil), 0.040″ (40 mil), 0.060″ (60 mil)
  • Temperature Range: -40°F to 223°F (-40°C to 106°C).
  • Tensile Strength: 3,060 PSI.
  • Tear Strength (Die C): 460 lbs/in².
  • Abrasion Resistance (Taber): 39 mg.
  • Surface Resistance: 1.4 x 10⁶ OHM/SQ.
  • FDA Compliance: Acceptable for direct food contact (CFR 21.177.1680 and CFR 21.177.2600).
  • ATEX Compliance: Meets static dissipation requirements for ATEX Directive and NEC Class II, Divisions I and II.
  • UV Stabilization: Long-lasting performance in outdoor and UV-exposed environments.
  • Static Dissipative: Provides permanent ESD protection, even in low-humidity conditions.
  • Abrasion Resistance: Outstanding durability for wear-prone applications.
  • Flex Fatigue Resistance: Excellent performance under repeated movement.

  • Construction Options: Can be sewn or hot-air welded into custom designs.
